On April 25, the reporter walked into the production workshop of Xinjiang Hengan Paper Co., LTD., located in Changji National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, to explore the new quality productivity behind a pack of tissues. Since its establishment in January 2011, as of 2023, the company has achieved annual sales revenue of 500 million yuan for 12 consecutive years, arranged an average annual employment of 306 people, paid an average annual salary of 28.54 million yuan for employees, increased the upstream and downstream industry chain by 200 million yuan per year, and paid a cumulative tax of more than 110 million yuan.

"This year, we have a new extraction paper towel production line, the installation and commissioning has been all in place, planned to put into production in May, can add an annual capacity of 800 tons of about 100,000 products, production capacity increased by more than 5% than last year." Xinjiang Hengan Paper Co., Ltd. production director Yang Yunfeng introduced.

Into the paper workshop, the reporter saw that the wood pulp raw materials after beating, molding, drying, rolling, paper, testing and other processes, become a roll of large base paper, 2.5 meters in diameter, 2.8 meters long, weight of more than 2 tons. In a few minutes, the rolls are transported to a fully automatic production line for finishing, greatly reducing the transportation cost of raw materials. In the processing workshop, 2.8 meters wide base paper machine processing, each worker in front of an electronic operating screen, which displays product information, operation process and other content, a bag of products in the production line in an orderly transmission operation, automatic sealing machine is busy, only a small number of employees can real-time supervision.

Yang Yunfeng introduced that with the regional advantages of Xinjiang, Hengan Paper changed the past U-shaped supply chain layout of short-fiber wood pulp board produced and supplied by Central Asian countries to Hunan and Chongqing for paper making, and then sent the base paper back to Xinjiang for deep processing from Hunan and Chongqing, and changed the linear supply chain layout of Central Asian countries directly to Xinjiang, which greatly saved the double transportation cost of wood pulp and base paper. Enterprises can not only achieve self-sufficiency in base paper, but also meet the supply of base paper for enterprises in Xinjiang.

Xinjiang Hengan Paper Co., Ltd. is a Fujian enterprise, but also the largest high-end household paper enterprise in Xinjiang. Funded by Fujian Hengan Group Co., Ltd. and Hengan (China) Investment Co., LTD., it covers an area of more than 300 mu. The first phase was put into operation in March 2013, and the second phase was put into operation in January 2018. Phase I and Phase II have invested nearly 1 billion yuan, and 11 paper production lines have been built, mainly producing and selling high-grade household paper, wet wipes, maternal and child health products, etc.
